What type of investors do you have?

Do unused credits roll over?

Credits roll over only on the Company plan, up to a maximum of 200. Starter and Pro plan credits reset each month.

Do you offer a free plan?

Yes — our Starter plan is forever-free (not a time-limited trial). You get 5 investor unlocks per month for as long as you keep the account, with no credit card required. Upgrade to Pro or Company only when you need more unlocks.

Can I email investors on the free plan?

Yes. Every plan includes email outreach, including the free Starter plan — you get 5 / day and Lite gets 15 / day, sent from your own connected Gmail or Outlook account. Paid plans swap the daily cap for a monthly allowance you can send in bursts: 1,000 / month on Pro and 5,000 / month on Company. Free and Lite allowances reset at midnight UTC; if a follow-up would exceed the cap it stays queued and goes out the next day rather than being cancelled.

Can I cancel my subscription when I want?

Yes, you can change or cancel your plan at any time from your account page. Once you have canceled, you'll still have access to your plan until the end of your billing period.

How does the free Starter plan work?

The Starter plan is forever-free, not a trial. Sign up and you get 5 investor unlocks every month with no credit card required and no expiry date. You can browse the full database, use filters, and see exactly what data you'll get before deciding to upgrade to Pro or Company.

What happens if I cancel a paid plan?

Your free Starter plan never expires — you keep 5 unlocks per month indefinitely. If you upgrade to Pro or Company and later cancel, you'll retain access through the end of your billing period, then revert to the free Starter plan. You never lose access to investors you've already unlocked.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime from your account settings — no phone calls, no hoops. Once cancelled, your paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing cycle. After that, you'll be moved back to the free Starter plan with 5 unlocks per month.

Will I be charged automatically?

No. The Starter plan is forever-free and never asks for a credit card. You'll only be charged if you explicitly upgrade to the Pro or Company plan and enter your payment details through our secure Stripe checkout. Paid plans then renew on their billing cycle until you cancel.

Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied?

Yes. We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first paid charge of any Pro or Company plan (monthly or yearly). Email info@datapile.co within 7 days of that charge and we'll issue a full refund — no calls, no hoops. After the 7-day window, renewals are not refunded, but you can cancel anytime to stop future billing. EU/UK customers also have a statutory 14-day cooling-off right. Full details in our refund policy.
